The National Codes Audit Panel, when alerted to the news item that the Paragon site in West London was being evacuated due to fire safety and structural concerns, instructed that contact be made with the operators of the development - Notting Hill Genesis - to request a full explanation as to the reasons for the evacuation along with details of whether the building was completely vacant and assurances that the student tenants had been satisfactorily re-housed.

The provider has now responded to these requests and the National Codes are satisfied with what has been received.

As this site is the only purpose-built block of student accommodation operated by Notting Hill Genesis, their membership of the Code will lapse. They have been asked to keep the National Codes about their plans to resolve the issues at the site and when they will be re-opening the building for student accommodation.
