The National Codes' Audit Panel has agreed that one Code member be removed and that another has their membership suspended following its latest meeting.

Linthorpe Property Management, who operate a development in Middlesbrough, were visited by the verification team late in 2018 and found to have a number of actions that needed to be undertaken in order to be compliant. However, the as the provider failed to notify the verifier that the deadlines for these had been met, AND the new manager of the site had indicated that they did not wish to continue with membership, it was decided that the matter be referred to the Chair of the Tribunal with a recommendation that they be removed from membership; and this was agreed.

Universal Student Living, which manages sites across the whole of the UK, have been suspended temporarily from membership as a result of failings identified at a site in Newcastle. The Audit Panel expressed some concerns at a perceived failure to complete actions relating to conditions set by within their HMO licence as well as other health and safety matters, and agreed that a suspension should take place in order to allow further investigations to be undertaken.

Following the provision of requested documentation, this provider had their suspension lifted in December 2019.
