At the National Codes, we believe that great student accommodation is about more than buildings – it is about creating safe, supportive and well-managed communities where students can live, learn and thrive. The Code membership framework brings together accommodation providers who are committed to delivering high standards, acting fairly, and putting the student experience at the heart of their operations.
The ANUK/Unipol National Codes are voluntary accreditation schemes - by signing up, your membership demonstrates a commitment to transparency, accountability and continuous improvement; which is verified through independent inspections, checks and balances. The result is a trusted framework that benefits students, providers and educational institutions alike. Code membership gives all parties assurance that buildings are well managed, safe and trustworthy.
A Member must ensure they have both the ability to fulfil all the obligations contained within the relevant Code, and also a willingness to commit to upholding the ethos and vision of the Code - doing business effectively but fairly.
By becoming a member of the Code, you will:
Be making a commitment to comply with the Code’s standards.
Actively and positively promote the Code among students
Deliver a high quality student experience
Ensure fair, transparent and responsible management practices
Build trust and transparency with students and stakeholders
Contributing to the ongoing improvement and professionalisation of the sector, through both independent verification and participation in the independent complaints process
