Understanding Training Need
The National Code has commissioned a consultant to undertake some scoping research and make recommendations regarding the development of new and innovative training programmes and events in student accommodation.
Why are we doing this?
The National Codes strategy sessions identified that Members were interested in additional training and qualifications, with a focus on compliance and improving practice. The current offer training offer includes a number of standalone sessions, and in addition all managers are required to undertake the free online training module, which had around 1,300 completions per year. There is an opportunity to develop this service further, as feedback sessions noted that it is still considered that there is a need for specialist training supporting the student accommodation sector to improve standards, professionalism, and practice.
How can I contribute to the research?
Resound Training have therefore been contracted to undertake this research, and as part of this have devised a short 5-minute survey to understand the skills gaps and training needs across the sector. The survey is open until 7th August 2026 and can be accessed by clicking the button below. Your response will be used to for internal research purposes only by Unipol, and no respondent details will be published.
