  • Fire Safety in Universities - Letters from the Department for Education

    The Secretary of State wrote to Vice-Chancellors asking them to review the safety of their students in both their teaching and living accommodation. On 22nd November 2019 a clarifying Briefing Note for Information was issued. Documents available here together with a commentary.

  • The Fire at the Cube in Bolton

    Following this serious fire it has been decided by the Codes Consortium to put further information into the public domain dealing with the background to this supplier, checks made to the standards within the building and references to documentation obtained as part of the verification considerations.

  • RESULT OF AN INVESTIGATION INTO LATE BUILDINGS WITHIN THE ANUK/UNIPOL CODES

    On 3rd October 2019 Unipol announced that it was conducting an investigation to ensure that where members have a late building they have complied with the requirements of the Code. The investigation is reported here
