The 7th Annual Joint Codes Conference took place on November 11th 2016, and included a minutes silence to commemorate armistice day.

Around 120 delegates registered for the event, which once again was held at the Wellcome Collection in London. Following a very similar format to previous Joint Codes events, the conference allowed delegates to attaned a range of workshop and plenary sessions, and covered big picture issues such as the future of HE, as well as more specialist matters like the advantages and disadvantages of social media in student accommodation.

The evaluations from delegates who attended the conference were very positive, indeed, the event as a whole scored its highest ever ratings for both the conference in general and the relevance of the sessions that were offered. Two comments in particular summed up what delegates thought about the event:

  • As a brand newcomer to this industry and sector I found the conference incredibly helpful with my understanding of student accommodation. Thank you
  • Really enjoyed today, very useful. The engaging with students session was my highlight and got me thinking about how we allocate rooms

An 8th Joint Codes Conference has been planned for November 2017, so watch out for more details later in the year.
